Betty Sue Sims Harper, 80, of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away on September 14, 2025, at Dadeville Healthcare in Dadeville, Alabama.
Betty was born on September 23, 1944, in Dadeville, Alabama to William Riley Sims and Emma Louise Ford.
Betty was married to Lamar Harper until his death in April 2011. She worked many years as a weaver at Hartwell Mills in Dadeville. Later, she worked at Harper Tire and Auto alongside Lamar.
She spent her retirement years doting on her girls and her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the joys of her life. She was also an avid Elvis Presley fan.
Surviving Betty to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia Crabtree, Brenda (Gene) Payne; grandchildren, Kyle (Madison) Crabtree, Kimberly (Connor) Jennings, Kevin Crabtree; great grandchild, Emmerson Crabtree and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her adopted mother, Minnie Sims.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Dadeville City Cemetery with Brother Jimmy Sims officiating.
