It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of James Henry Randolph, Sr., who left this world peacefully on May 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 11, 1942, in the charming town of Arab, Alabama, James was a cherished son of Ralph and Lucille Randolph. At the age of 83, just shy of his 84th birthday, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared an extraordinary 65-year marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Gayle Randolph, whom he married on August 6, 1960. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, filled with cherished memories and unwavering love.

James is survived by his loving wife Linda; his children, James Randolph, Jr., Karana (Ronnie) Kellum, and Morris Randolph; grandchildren, Aubri (Thomas) Carroll, Jade (Cory) Bolan, and Brandon (Ashley) Kellum; and great-grandchildren, Granger and Adeline Carroll, McKenzee Hallmark, and Rhett Bolan. He also leaves behind his sister, Julia Burnett; brother, Terry (Elizabeth) Randolph; sister-in-law, Jean Randolph; and a host of other beloved family members and friends, including JoAnn Corley, Courtney Herrington, and Tyler Gilliland.

His dear brother, Wendell Randolph, and his parents predeceased him, and they are surely welcoming him with open arms.

James’s boundless love extended beyond humans to his faithful fur baby, Goldie, who will undoubtedly miss his gentle presence.

His passion for life was evident in everything he did. A man who found joy in the simple yet profound beauty of the great outdoors. A man of unwavering dedication, James contributed 35 years of service to Uniroyal Tire Manufacturing before embracing a new chapter at Lake Martin Community Hospital, where he worked until his second retirement. His industrious spirit was matched only by his love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, tending to his garden, or meticulously curating his lawn, James found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. Yet, his heart truly soared when he was watching Braves Baseball or cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide, surrounded by family and friends.

Known for his hardworking nature and unwavering dedication to his family, James was a pillar of strength and a beacon of love to all who knew him. His generous spirit, kind heart, and infectious sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

A service to celebrate James’s remarkable life will be held on May 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Lake Martin Funeral Home and Cremation, located at 16797 Hwy 280, Dadeville, AL 36853. Family, friends, and all whose lives James touched are invited to attend and honor his memory.
