Jeffery Thomas “Jeff” Johnson

Jeffery Thomas “Jeff” Johnson of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away on August 5, 2025, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. He was 59 years old.

Jeff was born January 5, 1966, in Alexander City, Alabama, the son of Jerry Bowen and Martha Peoples.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, in the Chapel at Lake Martin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3 pm. And the service will start at 3 pm. Burial will follow the service in the Wise Memory Garden Cemetery on Oak Ridge Road in Dadeville, AL.

Jeff is survived by his son, Derek (Hannah) Johnson, Allen Kittrell; grandchildren, Landon Wilson, Ethan Adcox, Allie Kittrell, Luke Tapley, Ashton Kittrell, Marcus Johnson, Khylee Johnson; brother-in-law, Andrew (Tabatha) Wise; sister-in-law, Sue (Bobby) Davini; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy Johnson; son, Todd Johnson; sister, Marsha Wise; and his brother, Freddy Bowen.

Jeff was a contractor by trade and loved working with his hands. He was an avid Alabama Football fan who enjoyed cheering on the Tide. He also loved the Atlanta Braves. He could be found in the spring at the baseball field watching the grandchildren play ball. He cherished every moment spent with the grandkids and was always showing his full support in whatever they were involved in.

Jeff loved helping people and he loved his family dearly. He had a heart of gold and was always cracking jokes. He enjoyed horseback riding and did so often.
