Jonathan David Goodner, age 47, of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the chapel of Lake Martin Funeral Home & Cremation. The family will receive friends during a public visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow. Interment will follow at Tallapoosa County Memorial Gardens.

Jonathan was born on January 27, 1979, in Arkansas to the late Phillip David Goodner and Sadie Ruth Goodner.

Jonathan attended Greenwood High School and was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. He found joy in painting, fishing, and camping and was a devoted Auburn Tigers fan. Whether spending time outdoors or cheering on Auburn, Jonathan appreciated life's simple pleasures and the people he loved most.

Above all, Jonathan was a devoted father and proud grandfather. His family was the center of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He will be remembered for his caring nature, compassionate heart, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.

Jonathan leaves to cherish his memory his children, Katelynn Waldrep (Mason), Gabrielle Goodner, and Dalton Lamb (Sky); three beloved grandchildren; his siblings, Tenisha Goodner, Alex Goodner, and Rebecca Goodner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Phillip David Goodner and Sadie Ruth Goodner, Jonathan was preceded in death by those who welcomed him into eternal rest.

The family kindly requests that those attending the service honor Jonathan's lifelong love for the Auburn Tigers by wearing Auburn colors, Auburn apparel, or Auburn hats.
