Marjorie Lane “Margie” Walker

Marjorie Lane Walker “Margie”, 80, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1945, in LaFayette, Alabama, the daughter of Preston Lane and Lucille Stewart Lane.

Visitation and graveside services will be Sunday January 4, 2026. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 pm in the Chapel at Lake Martin Funeral Home, 16797 Hwy 280, Dadeville, AL 36853. Graveside service will begin at 3:30 pm at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery at 8897 Dudleyville Road, Dadeville, AL 36853.

Margie was a lifetime member of Faith Assembly of God Church, and she loved her church family. She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing and crafting. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with friends but her most cherished time was spent with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren.

Margie had to fight for many things in her life, but she was resilient. She took many people into her home over the course of her life, and she cared for sick and elderly. She had a forgiving spirit, and she loved her family deeply.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Audrey (David) White, Christy (Chris) Nelson; her son, Wade Walker; grandchildren, Ashley (Rod) Henderson, Jazzmin (Chris) Greathouse, Andrea (Daniel) Grant, Madison (Taylor) Huff, Alex Walker; her great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Roland Walker; brother, Glen Lane; sisters, Lucille Lane, Marie Prance and Mavis Gardner.

Floral arrangements will be accepted. Donations or memorial tributes may be sent to Lebanon Baptist Church, 8413 Dudleyville Road, Dadeville, AL 36853 in Margie’s memory.
