Jackson's Gap

Megan Elisabeth Giles, age 19, of Jackson's Gap, Alabama, entered her Heavenly home on November 8, 2025. Born on October 24, 2006, Megan was a 2025 honor graduate of Reeltown High School, where she served as Band Captain of the Marching Rebel Pride Band. Her caring heart, kind soul, and radiant smile made her a light to all who knew her.

Megan was a freshman at the University of Alabama, where she was pursuing a pre-medical degree. Her experience in the Rural Medical Scholars Program inspired her to follow a path of service in medicine, driven by a desire to make a difference in people's lives. Megan was active on campus and loved her new friends, while she also stayed close with her many lifelong friends from home. She was a member of Chi Alpha, a christian student organization, and Alpha Omega Epsilon sorority.

Her faith was an important part of her life and guided her compassion and care for others. Megan lived each day with purpose and joy, reflecting love and kindness in everything she did. She was bright, funny, and deeply loved her family, friends, animals, and learning. She was truly living her best life at Alabama, embracing every opportunity with grace and enthusiasm.

Those who were called home before her include her grandfather Terry Giles and her step grandfather Bob Harris. Her memory lives on through her loving parents, David and Callie Giles; her sister, Madeline Giles; her grandmothers, Marlene Giles and Rita Harris; her grandfather and wife, Jimmy and Debbie Webster; and her devoted fiancé, Jackson Thomas Rodgers. She is also cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends, both new and old, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Visitation will be held at Christ Gospel Church in Notasulga on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 p.m. Pastors Jake Williams, Danny Rodgers, and Nelson Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Megan Giles Legacy Scholarship at Reeltown High School. Contributions may be given in her honor to Reeltown School, the Reeltown PTO Venmo @Reeltown-PTO (please notate donations as Megan Giles Scholarship Fund), or the Tallassee branch of CB&S Bank. Megan's light will continue to shine through all who knew and loved her - a reflection of her joy, her kindness, and her beautiful heart
