Randall Mark Thornton, 63, passed away on May 15, 2025. Born on December 30, 1961, Randall lived a life full of passion, grit, and a deep love for his family. He will be remembered for his big heart, strong spirit, and the loyalty he gave freely to those he loved.

He is survived by his loving mother, Hilda Lee Lacey, and his two sons, Jerry (Brittany) Thornton and Lee (Allison) Thornton. Randall was incredibly proud of the men his sons became. He loved them fiercely, admired their strength, and was always looking for ways to support them and make their lives better. His greatest joy came from being their dad, and he never missed an opportunity to tell them how much he loved them.

Randall was also a devoted grandfather to Elijah, Caden, Avery Grace, Maddy, Ruby, and Jaxton. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment he got to spend with them, whether he was teaching them something new, helping lead them down the right path, or sharing stories about how he was when he was younger. “Pawpaw” made every moment count. His bond with them was deep, genuine, and unforgettable.

He also leaves behind his brother, Richard Thornton (Gwen), his beloved girlfriend, Teresa Terrell, and his loyal dog, Bubba, who rarely left his side.

Randall was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Arnel Thornton, and his sister, Rhonda Lee Thornton.

A former United States Marine, Randall carried the values of discipline, strength, and loyalty with him throughout his life. He was always trying to stay on top of things — keeping up with the news, knowing what was happening in the world, and making sure his family was informed and protected. He took that role seriously, always watching out for the people he loved and never hesitated to speak up if he thought it might help or keep them safe.

A true free spirit, Randall found peace on the open road, riding his Harley with the wind in his face and the world behind him. He also had a deep love for music and was never far from a guitar. Performing under the name Randy Thorn, he poured his heart into every chord he played and every song he sang. Music was more than a hobby — it was an extension of who he was. Whether on a stage or playing for friends, his guitar brought people together.

He also loved to shoot guns, work with his hands, and make people laugh — and he did all of it with an unmistakable spark that made him one of a kind. His presence lit up every room, and his stories, laughter, and love will echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
