Susan Elaine Bibb Sanders, 61 of Camp Hill, Alabama, passed away on August 10, 2025, at Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville, Alabama.
Susan was born on May 6, 1964, in Fair Play, South Carolina, the daughter of Gerald Edwin Bibb and Peggy Jean Patterson.
Susan graduated from Oakway High School and continued to earn an associates in science degree from Tri-County Technical College.
On February 28, 1988, Susan married the love of her life George Barry Sanders at Earles Grove Baptist Church. Reverend Kenny Owen was the minister joining them in a lifetime of love. Their 37 years of life together started after Susan accepted Barry’s proposal on their first date. During their life together, they relocated many times over the years living from one coast to the other and multiple states in between until finally settling in Camp Hill, AL.
Susan worked for several years as a Branch Manager for Bank of America in Westminster, S.C. location until their sons were born. She then devoted all her time to taking care of her growing family. She loved travelling and riding motorcycles but to her the best times were spent with family. She loved her family and friends, but her light truly shined the brightest for her children and grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her mother, Peggy Bibb; husband, Barry Sanders; sons, John Taylor (Whitney) Sanders, Andrew Barry (Stephanie) Sanders; grandchildren, Caroline, Ava, Smith; her brother, Eddie (Cindy) Bibb and their children, Ashley, Bethany, Savannah, and a host of friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Edwin Bibb.
Susan was a member of Earles Grove Baptist Church in Westminster, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held on August 15, 2025, at 2 pm at Earles Grove Baptist Church, 318 Cedar Lane Road, Westminster, S.C. 29693. The family will have visitation immediately following the memorial service at Earles Grove Baptist Church.
