Wyllowdean DeVore Hendrix died on January 30th, 2026. She was 97 years old. Wyllowdean and her sons, Dudley DeVore and Timothy DeVore, moved to the Dadeville area in 1966. She lived in the area most of her life since that time.

She was a Registered Nurse, and served the community working in various hospitals, as well as the Public Health Nurse for Tallapoosa County for several years. She finished her career working for the Veterans Hospital in Tuskegee for over two decades where she met her husband, James Hendrix, who proceeded her in passing.

She is survived by her sons, Dudley and Timothy DeVore, as well as her stepsons James and Steven Hendrix and their respective families.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Martin Funeral Home in Dadeville.
